Need a photo as a JPG for a form that won’t accept anything else, a logo as a PNG with a see-through background, or smaller WebP images for your website? This free image converter turns JPG, PNG, WebP, iPhone HEIC photos, GIF, AVIF and more into the format you need, in seconds.

You can convert a whole folder of images at once, see how much smaller (or bigger) each file becomes, and download everything as one ZIP file. Everything happens in your browser, so your photos never leave your device — and there’s no sign-up, no watermark and no limit.

How to use it

  1. 1Pick the format you want — JPG, PNG or WebP. For JPG and WebP you can also set the quality.
  2. 2Drop your images onto the box, or tap "Choose images". You can add as many as you like.
  3. 3Each image is converted straight away. Download them one by one, or all at once as a ZIP file.
  4. 4Changed your mind about the format or quality? Just change it — every image is converted again with the new setting.

🛡 Your files stay on your device

Questions and answers

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. The conversion happens inside your own browser, on your phone or computer. Your images are never sent to BoltDeck or anyone else, which is why it also works without an internet connection once the page has loaded.

Which format should I choose?

JPG is best for photos you want to share, email or upload — small files that open everywhere. PNG is lossless and keeps transparent backgrounds, so it suits logos, icons and screenshots with text. WebP is a modern format that makes smaller files than both and keeps transparency, but some older programs can't open it.

Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos?

Yes, in any modern browser. Safari opens HEIC photos by itself; in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, BoltDeck loads a small HEIC decoder the first time you add one. It runs on your device too, so your photos still aren't uploaded.

Will converting reduce the quality?

Converting to PNG never loses quality. JPG and WebP throw away a little detail to make files smaller — at the default 90% quality most people can't see any difference. Converting the same image back and forth many times will slowly lose detail, so keep your original.

What happens to the photo's location and camera details?

They're removed. The new file is drawn from the image's pixels only, so EXIF information such as GPS location, date and camera model is not copied over. That's handy before you share a photo publicly.

What about animated GIFs?

Only the first frame is converted, because JPG, PNG and WebP files made here are still images.
