Open-source licences
Last updated
BoltDeck’s tools are built with open-source software written by generous people around the world. Thank you! This page lists the parts that run in your browser when you use a tool, and the licence each one is shared under.
Open source used by the tools

| libheif-js 1.23.5 | The WebAssembly build of libheif | LGPL-3.0 |
| pdf-lib | Making PDF files (invoice generator, Image to PDF) | MIT |
| qrcode | Making QR codes | MIT |

About the HEIC decoder (LGPL)
The HEIC decoder is shared under the GNU Lesser General Public License, version 3 (LGPL-3.0). We use it unchanged, exactly as published in libheif-js version 1.23.5, which is built from libheif-emscripten v1.23.5.
- It’s kept as its own files (a small JavaScript loader and
libheif.wasm), which your browser downloads only when you convert a HEIC photo. You’re free to replace them with your own build of the library. - The full licence texts (LGPL-3.0, and the GPL-3.0 it builds on) are here: libheif licence.
- The source code is available from the links above. If you’d like us to send you the exact source code we use, email boltdeck@digiform.no.
Like everything else on BoltDeck, the decoder runs entirely on your device. Your photos are never uploaded.
